Local and state dive teams searched the waters of Juniper Beach in Salem in connection with the disappearance of Michael Gray on Wednesday, Jan. 4, Salem Police said on Facebook.
Gray, age 31, from Maine, was last seen after being locked out of his car in Peabody last month, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
Gray called police asking for help to get into his car on Saturday night, Dec. 10, Peabody Police report. However, he later got a ride to a family member's job on Main Street in but was reported missing by his family around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
The search for Gray in Salem was sparked after investigators found several items of clothing on the beach, Salem Police said. Authorities now believe the clothing is connection to Gray.
Search parties did not locate anything in the waters, according to police, but are continuing to investigate along with Peabody detectives.
Gray is described as standing 6'1" to 6'2", with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. He is also said to often wear his hair in a bun and has facial hair and tattoos, according to police.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gray is asked to contact the Peabody or Salem Police.
